My dog was with my brother and his dog for a long weekend. We picked him up on a Tuesday night and Wednesday evening noticed a big mass on his hip, that wasnt there the day before. We took him in the next day to Dr. Metcalf who said it was a tumor and needed to be surgically removed! He felt the bump but didnt really take a sample. They scheduled my dog for surgery the next morning, to have this so called tumor removed. My husband and brother said that doesnt make sense , as a tumor can not pop up over night, and to get a second opinion which i scheduled for the that next afternoon. The girls at the front desk called that Friday morning to see if the dog was coming in for surgery and I explained that I wanted to get a second opinion before we put the dog out to have major surgery. A few minutes later the front desk called back to get monies for the appointment the day before, which while I was giving her my credit card number, the actual vet beeped in.
