This particular location is the headquarter of the Navy Federal Credit Union. Therefore, additional services are offered, such as mortgages, loans, coin deposit machines, etc. This is the easiest credit union to join. As long as you know anyone who is an account holder, you can join. There are many free services I enjoy, such as free cashier's check, no monthly fee, etc. The mortgage service is very speedy (I closed in 2 weeks), but not necessarily smooth. I had to follow up very closely to ensure all the mistakes were corrected and everything went through. The mortgage rate is not the lowest, but considering the super low closing fees, it may work out for you. The ATM locations are very limited, and they do not reimburse foreign ATM fees like most internet banks do. Therefore, it's only worthwhile if you live by a branch.
