My faithful Adcom stereo power amp suddenly died in mid song. It was 10 years old, but still sounded great, and the new ones offered no significant improvement--if any. Besides, they started at around $800 for the equivalent to my model. So I took a chance on repair. The service was friendly. I paid the bench charge for diagnosis and they called with the estimate, and repaired it within a week, applying the charge to the total bill of just over $100. Great service! Reasonable price.
