I made an appointment to take my car in to have the light on the gear shift replaced. It wasn't essential, but it was bothering me since it burned out. When I made the appointment I purposefully chose a time that would give me plenty of time to get my 10 month old daughter home for her nap. I arrived on time at 11:45 with my daughter in tow and waited in the service area. I told them I would just wait since it wasn't expected to take very long. After 90 minutes and my daughter was getting restless I went to see if they were close to being done. When I learned that they had not even begun to change the bulb I was very upset but restrained. I said that if I had known it would take this long I wouldn't have even bothered. I asked for my keys. I waited and waited and a half hour later a guy came up to me and asked if there was ever even a light on that panel of my car. It was so insulting, yes, there was a light on that panel. I've owned my car for 5 years and I know that there was a light on that panel. At this point they had taken apart a lot of the wires and it would no longer be easy to get my keys and leave. So I had to continue to wait. After another hour I was told they had ordered the lightbulb and they would get me out of there soon. My daughter was in melt down mode and I was trying everything to keep her happy so I wouldn't disturb the other people waiting. There isn't a whole lot you can do to soothe a 10 month old 2 hours past their nap time. 3 hours and 53 minutes after I arrived I finally was able to leave with the lightbulb fixed. They did let me know that in removing the panel they scratched a part and removed some paint but they would replace that at no cost and would let me know when that piece arrived. I don't think it's worth another 4 hours of my life.
