Merengue Restaurant is not your ordinary Latino restaurant. You get to listen to great music while having a meal that if served in downtown will easily be priced three times its cost. Every little detail has been covered, wall pictures by well-known Dominican artists have been beautifully placed around the restaurant, and the interior design carries you to another country instantaneously. I tried the mofongo (mashed plantains) and the picadera once, and I came back to have the coconut fish, and then came back for a different dish the following weeks, not sure if it was for the entree or for the delicious tres leches they serve for dessert, but I remember myself eating hastily just to order one of those with a cup of cappuccino that will shame Starbucks in a second!\r
