Businiess name:  HOCKEMEYER - MILLER FUNERAL HOME

Review content:
I do not feel that they listened to our wishes, in many cases they completely ignored our wishes and did what they wanted. We never received an itemized receipt and were told they would pay for items that we are still receiving bills for. I have tried repeatedly to contact them but am usually ignored. This was the last thing I would ever do for my daughter and it bothers me that they ignored me. I believe the people who run the funeral home are very old and outdated. They want to do things the way they were done 50 years ago. What we wanted was a celebration of life since she was younger, what we got was what THEY wanted. Since I am being ignored by the funeral home I plan on contacting Dignity Memorial, the Fed Trade Commission, the National Assoc of Atty General and the IFDA if I need to. Once they receive your money they completely ignore you. I have found violations such as an itemized list of services for our package, an itemized invoice etc. So we have no idea if what we paid is correct and why we are receiving bills that the Director said they would pay. My ex husband was told everything was paid up. I am/was constantly having to call to remind them to contact the coroner, get copies of the death certificate (we still don't have), to check on when the autopsy was scheduled etc...It was a mess and they made it much harder on us.
