I took my daughter in today to find a dress for homecoming. As she was trying on dresses, one of the zippers on the back of the dress got stuck. She finally got it to go up and it split open. It was definitely a bad zipper. I showed it to the employee after my daughter took the dress off and she informed me that "now I am going to have to tell my boss" I said ok. She told me it was because my daughter was too large for the dress and I was probably going to have to pay for it. I just about died. My daugter was livid and wanted to leave right then. The manager came out and informed us that it was okay and that if we wanted to buy that dress we would have to get a zipper put in it. I said okay. My daughter still wanted to leave, but I convinced her to keep trying on dresses and find the perfect one. She found 2 dresses and we decided to buy both and use one for another occasion. When we got to the counter the employee informed us that her manager said we had to pay 25.00 to pay for them to put a zipper in the other dress that had the broken zipper. I am so not confrontational, so I bought both dresses and paid for the zipper in the dress we didn't buy. My daughter who is a wise 17 year old, lectured me the whole way home about standing up for myself. The zipper was obviously defective. I taught my daughter how to be a doormat and not stand up for your rights. The manager was condescending and the employee was rude to make the comment about my daughter being too large for the dress. She is a size 2. The dress was a 4. It would have had to be altered anyway. I will never shop there again. Very bad customer service!!!!!!
