If you are wanting to be 'treated' like you are in a cattle herd then this is your place. The doctor 'counsels' you in a group setting. It's nice to know you are not the only one making this decision, but honestly I'd much rather have a loved one next to my side than another stranger. I find it odd that they call it minor surgery yet do not allow anyone else but the nurse and doctor in the room with you. I've had two major surgeries in the past, yet a loved one was allowed to be next to me the entire time. Maybe that person would have been more comforting to me through the entire process and I would have not passed out! The doctor was rough and did not show any compassion. He was actually irritated that I said I was not coming back for a followup. I'll GLADLY follow up with my regular doctor who actually cares about me as a human being.
