Review content:
4 days each week, dozens of dumpsters are lined up outside the residences. The trash pickup by the city takes 30 minutes to an hour and is very noisy. One of the worst areas is on Baypointe Parkway south of Descanso Dr to the dead end at the orange grove. Check it out on a Wednesday night or Thursday morning. The process is repeated on Sunday/Monday but usually 1/3 as many dumpsters on those days.\r \r Apart from the dumpsters, the neighborhood is just about 7 or 8 miles south of the landfill and the water treatment plant. So the neighborhood as a whole often features a combo trash/sewage smell. \r \r The park in the middle of the community is city owned so it attracts a lot of non residents. This causes extreme parking shortfalls. \r \r The main pool at the Sycamores is pretty nice. But the gate on the corner of Descanso and Baypointe Pkwy is broken (or disabled.). The key pad that you need to run your fob past is still there. It's unclear if they disabled this gate on purpose (why?) or not. But in any event, rather than turn it on or fix it, they made a sign that reads ""Exit only"" on this gate. It previously worked. \r \r This last thing is obviously not a big deal to some people. Cable is not an option. You are stuck using satellite TV. Maybe you prefer satellite but it's disappointing that a relatively new community in the heart of silicon valley would not provide alternatives to those that want them. Pros: the last day of your lease Cons: the sights, sounds, and smells
