Review content:
I shop at the Wish Bakery outlet on S. Rice in Bellaire. I have to give it a good review because I rarely pass by it without stopping for some peanut butter cookies. Their peanut butter cookies are the grown up version of Grandma's peanut butter cookies I used to eat as a kid. They are robust with a deep peanut butter flavor with sugar on the top. They do not contain peanut slices and they are not overly sweet. In fact, the cookies and cakes from Wish are not drenched in sugar. Their sugarless cookies taste just like the regular. One criticism of Wish concerns product freshness. I've bought cookies that were stale. They probably don't use preservatives. The best cookies come from full trays. The cakes I've pruchased win praise at lunches and meetings - consistently fresh and flavorful. Pros: good location and product variety Cons: Checkout is not quick; every item is inventoried in the register
