Review content:
Horrible! ! The woman who runs this Kumon Center is really mean to the kids, and terribly rude to the parents. My daughter came home crying from this Center more than once because of remarks made by the Director.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to get questions answered at the Manassas Kumon Center - for both kids and adults. The Director sets a tone of ignoring people, and she calls it ""self-sufficiency."" Our positive experience at the new Kumon Center that we moved to afterwards shows that you do not have to suffer through this Director's particular type of ""self-sufficiency"" to benefit from Kumon.
Oh, and she will berate both parents and students for not knowing things that she has not communicated - did I mention that she is an extremely poor communicator?
We talked to another parent at the Manassas Center who had the exact same experience, and who was also looking for a new Center.
The Kumon program itself is good, but there are plenty of other Kumon Centers nearby. We moved quickly to the Centreville Kumon Center, where we are treated courteously, and where our children are treated kindly.
The Centreville Center and the South Riding Center also have the advantage of flexible hours - unlike Manassas - but we were just relieved to leave the harassment of the Manassas Center behind.
Run away from Manassas Kumon - the initial contract locks you in for 3-months, which is 3-months too long - really torture. Go for the FAR better options in Centreville and South Riding.
