Businiess name:  Mint 2 Thai & Sushi

Review content:
I came to this strip mall Thai restaurant near the intersection of N. Decatur Rd and Clairmont last night for some sushi and was asked immediately if we were using a coupon. I replied that I had a Groupon for endamame and Mint Boat for 2. We ordered according to the Groupon and then I inquired about the soup/salad that was supposed to come as part of the Mint Boat for 2. Waitress said that since I was using Groupon that I would have to pay for the soup/salad if I wanted it. I argued with her that if that was the case, then the full value of the meal wasn't as advertised (directly on the Groupon).\r \r Then, when our boat arrived, I noticed that the sushi and sashimi slices were cut so thin that they were translucent (almost see through)! I asked her why their slices were so anemic and she explained to us that we only paid half price so we were getting half the value!!! I couldn't believe it. What institution joins a promotion and rather than honoring the promotion, would proceed to skirt the system by providing customers with half the order that they would orginally received had they not used the promotion? \r \r The endamame was dried and tasted like they had just microvaved some frozen endamame from a package. The sushi was tasteless - maybe because of the anemic cut but probably wouldn't have been better had the slices been regular sized either. The service was poor - we had to call to the waitress repeatedly before she would acknowledge our table and come over to help us.\r \r I called Groupon this morning to recount my experience at this restaurant and they were speechless by my experience. They were so embarrased that they credited me for both the Groupon that I used last night, another Groupon that I told them I never intend to use because I would never return to this establishment, and some extra bucks on top of that for my bad experience. That's what customer service should be like!\r \r Stay AWAY from this place - it's not worth your time or money.
