Tonight was my third time at Salud, the first 2 times I came I had a great time and the food and drinks were delicious. However, tonight I had one of the most horrible experiences ever at Salud. I decided to take my friend to celebrate her birthday and while she was eating her steak and plantains dish, she found a metal screw on her plate. She was puzzled and confused. I was just plain mortified and embarrased that I had suggested Salud as opposed to other places near the Seaport. I called one of the Managers named Jose and he was apologetic and attempted to explain that since the restaurant is under renovations perhaps accidentally, the metal screw landed on my friend's plate. The metal screw to me looked more like a tongue piercing but he disputed that. My friend and I kept our composure due to the schock and Jose the manager stated that we didn't have to worry about the charges so I shared my Paella with my friend and had a couple of drinks. When we asked for the bill, I was surprise to find out that the manager only subtracted my friend's dish, yes the one with the metal screw!!. Clearly, he is not a very good businessman. The money is not the issue, but it's the principal behind it. After my friend's dinner was ruined while celebrating her birthday, instead of him covering the whole check and perhaps offering a complementary brunch for my friend due to the inconvenience his establisment caused us; he had the audacity to expect payment. I don't know about you but I won't be going back anytime soon. In addition, I will tell my friends that work at ACS and HRA to avoid Salud. The Health Department needs to conduct an inspection ASAP and determine if renovations should be taking place while customers are being served. WHAT A BIG DISSAPOINTMEN!! I WON'T EVER GO BACK TO SALUD!
