Review content:
Kidney Care of Acadiana is the practice of Masoud Yazdi, MD. He's been my nephrologist for 2 years and I am now looking for another doctor. I have multiple medical issues and I've had a kidney transplant, overseen by a major medical center in Houston. Yazdi has NEVER had a conversation with my transplant doctors, or any of my other doctors. In fact, he seems to have some hang-up about contacting other docs, and always has me act as a go-between. I have lab tests every 2 months. Yazdi's office NEVER calls me with results, even if they require action!!! Thank God I have the lab results mailed to me so that I know when there's a problem. Then I have to call Yazdi's office and wait - usually 2 days - for his nurse to respond with a prescription or order for new labs, etc. To say that he is not proactive is an understatement. He wants me to come in to see him every 2 months for no reason that I can discern other than to get the fee. Find another doctor. Best to try Acadiana Renal Physicians.
Cons: Not proactive, will not work with other docs, does not follow-up on labs.
