I have studied many styles of martial arts over a 30 years period including Kung FU, Aikijutsu, Kenjustu, Iaido, & Ninjutsu. I love checking out new arts and I was very interested in the Hype about Krav Maga since I know that Ninjutsu was involved in the development of the art. As far as sweating my butt off it was awesome! BUT my serious problem with this combat form is that it is nothing more than a cardio boxing class; Bag drills and cardio training. I can go to any gym for a cardio class. I was also seriously unhappy to see that it wasn't so much about martial style as it was about $$$$. Advancement was based on how much you could pay, not on martial ability. People were being advanced that I felt were accidents waiting to happen. Also when my hands were injured by one of these ""advanced"" students because of bad form on their part I was yelled at for doing exactly as I was told to do and then the instructor didn't want to cover the medical bill with his insurance. I have since had problems with my hands when going back to Kung Fu. What ever martial art you choose - avoid this one. Pros: great if all you want is to sweat Cons: poor quality instruction, and advancement based on $$$ not skill
