Review content:
Many years ago, around 2003/2004 I brought my ""broken"" car to this Firestone. Here are just a few details to keep in mind while you read my story. I am a single mother and at that time I was working full time and going to school full time. I was living pay check to pay check, BARELY! Well here it is .. . When I brought my car in there it was in bad shape but, still running kinda. It was like no power was getting to the car. I dropped off my car. They called me about 7 hours later to come in. When I got there the man handed me the printed out sheet of the details and price. The price was quoted at $1300. I actually had tears coming from my eyes. I told them I did not have the money to fix it so I PAID THEM $140 for finding out what was wrong with it. I drove home and parked my car...Where it sat for NINE MONTHS while I saved the money to get it fixed.( I took the bus, taxis and relied on friends and family for rides.) I was so excited when I finally had the money to fix it. Firestone did not have a tow truck to get my car there so I called around for towing prices. The Amaco(now BP) right down the street would tow it for free if I had them fix it. I needed to save that money so I agreed. When he got there to tow my car I gave him the paper work from Firestone so he knew what to fix. He told me it would take a whole day to fix so I would be able to get it the following day. He would call when Its done. Well...I get a phone call TWO hours later. He said,""I have your car running right now."" You can get it whenever you like. I get there and find out it was a belt!!!! They changed it and charged my battery. It costed me $110. CHEAPER THEN what firestone charged me to find out what was wrong with my car! Well they charged me and LIED to get MORE MONEY!! I was blown away that the man at BP was so honest. He could have gotten all that money out of me and he did NOT do it. He was such a blessing to me. So... FIRESTONE robbed me of $140, Nine months of no car hauling my daughter on and off a bus about 8 times a day. Im so lucky they did not do the towing or I would have paid them all that money and I would have never known how DISHONEST and HORRIBLE they were. NO ONE should EVER bring their car to that place for anything!!! Even if you know whats wrong I can see them breaking something just so you have to pay them to fix it. NEVER GO HERE!!!!! Go to the BP right down the street!
