Review content:
Buying seafood in a landlocked state - am I courting disaster? Not at the Shrimp Dock. \r
\r
I've had consistent quality there. Gorgeous sushi-grade tuna, grouper that just melts, and the big-uns (massive shrimp) are too good to pass up. I always stick with the fresh seafood here - I did get a mushy frozen lobster once. And, be sure to only buy clams, oysters, and mussels in months that contain a ""R."" In any case, my best advice is not to go in with a preconceived notion of what you want. Ask them what is good & fresh, and they won't steer you wrong. They also throw a killer Cinco de Mayo party - free, all-you-can-eat seafood, BYOB in a big cooler. It's a blast!!!!\r
\r
They often offer samples, and their seafood dips are not to be missed. Friendly staff - make you want to hang out with them and perhaps linger a few extra minutes. They also special order in large quantities for parties.
Pros: Killer shrimp, fun staff
Cons: don't buy clams and oysters in the summer unless they're flown in from cold waters
