Review content:
I was taken with this place as soon as I entered. We were greeted by Mae (who turns out to be the owner) like we were old friends. We were seated promptly and served very quickly.
We started with a PuPu Platter and enjoyed it as everything was done perfectly and who doesn't like having fire on their table?
My wife ordered a shrimp/broccoli dish that she claims was wonderful (since it had shrimp in it I seriously doubt it).
I had the Twice Cooked pork and it was exceptional. Flavors mixed well and although they were a little different from what I expected I found it to be wonderful.
I also ordered (on a crazy whim) some beef/curry dumplings. These things were AMAZING. Pastry-like crust and a shot of curry flavor that will bring tears to your eyes and joy to your heart. I know exactly what I am getting next time!!
Through it all our server was very nice without being a pest, drinks were served quickly and soft drinks kept topped off. When we left Mae took out picture and put it on the wall with all kinds of other happy people.
The only bad thing is now my wife doesn't want to try all the other restaurants downtown.
Pros: Great Food, Friendly People, Reasonable Cost
Cons: Downtown Parking Hassles
