Go for the haircuts - but be very wary about the teaching specialists for color/chemical. They are disinterested and not particularly interested in what you want/need. I was wondering what would be the appeal for a licensed stylist to want to become a teacher at a cosmetology school? Wouldn't the brightest and best be out in the field - building a huge clientele and/or working to own their own salon? From the 3 teaching specialists I encountered at Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School - I don't think it is a huge salary that is the draw. The teachers were argumentative, disinterested and completely not concerned about my stated concerns for natural looking highlights. I now have ""yellow pinstripes"" in lieu of great highlights - and the cost was only $25 less than my regular stylist. It will cost more than $25 to get this fixed - so, the old adage applies - usually you get what you pay for.\r \r The students have all been very nice and eager to please. My bad experience is 100% due to the teaching staff.
