I've given this restaurant 3 tries and struck out every time. The food is just....bad. The menu is pretentious but can't deliver. To add insult to injury, the last time I was there I asked for an extra cup of salsa to liven up a very bland dish and they charged me $1.25. For salsa (not chips)!! There are 2 rooms in this restaurant, the first with a mariachi band and the other with a TV going. They stuck me in there the last time - I guess because I was a solo diner - and between the TV blasting and a woman at the next table having a loud cell phone conversation I asked to be moved to the mariachi room. The staff seemed pretty uncomfortable with this but did move me. (Although I was alone, I was nicely dressed, honest!) Much of the wait staff were American - which always makes me a little leery in a Mexican restaurant in a city where there are lots of Mexican waiters available. And finally, their ad in Savvy Shopper says they were ""Best of City Search 2005 - 2007."" Well, I just looked at the 2007 list and they're not on it. For good reason! So they not only have bad food, they lie. Don't bother with this place. Try El Azteca, or even better try Nuevo Laredo. Pros: Convenient location. Cons: Food
