Review content:
I was at the 24 hour fitness on Anton. I had a counselor named Sone. The thing I was confused by was that he kept saying that they are supportive of members or people looking to become members. When the whole time I was talking to him, (in the tour of the place and sitting down with him), was I couldn't get thru to him that I just wanted to use the pool. I was a swimmer since 5 until college days. He kept telling me that I can not get a full workout just on swimming. I felt like I had to ""challenge"" him about the sport and grew tired of telling him, "" I just want to use the pool, "" or ""why can't I just use the pool."" I felt like he was a ""cheap car salesman"", trying to get me to pay more. Sure, it sounded like a great deal-""we are having a special yesterday, BUT because you came in today, I will still give you this great deal!"" I thought nothing of it at first, but then he's trying to swiftly get me to sign up for a personal trainer where I just mention 7 times that I DID NOT want a personal trainer!! Then he wasn't asking anymore, he was tellingme, ""which one will you choose"", as I'm looking at a $99, a $299 and a $500 deal for a trainer, I was getting so irritated with him. I should've walked out. When my last month is paid for, I'm going to L.A. fitness or anywhere else but there. I felt ripped off when I stepped out and I was so angry and felt really dumb by signing on the dotted line. Sone looked really irritated that I wasn't signing up for anything else. I figure he was trained to get people to sign up for more things to spend more money or maybe it's his commission? I'm not sure. The way he was talking to me, like he couldn't give me a straight answer why I can't just swim, made me feel like there was something wrong with me. NOt everyone is in the same place. I'm not all serious about loosing weight, (which he commented that I needed to). I just want to get out of the house for a hour because I have 4 kids!!!! Very dissappointing Sone!
Pros: they have a swimming pool
Cons: pressure from Sone, (counselor), pushy, too ""give me your money""
