I signed up for Club KO twice, once when it opened for a year and then again a couple years later with my husband. Things you should know about Club KO: 1. it's a dirty 2. they offer ZERO amenities 3. their equipment is ancient and do almost nothing to improve the gym at all 4. their prices are very close to a much nicer gyms in town (e.g. NYSC on 14th Street) with classes and towel service.. so why go here? Yes, it's fun to go to a class or two a week but it gets very old very fast. And yes, it is a good workout ***but*** the gym itself needs a lot of cleaning, renovation and upkeep. I signed up initially when it was less than $50 a month. I thought I could sacrifice the nicer things like towel service or new equipment and even basic things like clean conditions, functional equipment bc of the low price. But now with prices over $70 or even $80 it's completely NOT worth it. They also make it EXTREMELY difficult to leave the gym even if you have ended your contract. Even though this gym was literally across the street from my old apt, going there was never a pleasure because of the dingy atmosphere and less than sanitary conditions.
