I took a 10k ring in to trade for cash. After taking a number and a short wait, I sat on a stool across from the older woman with the bee-hive hair style for the appraisal. She was all business as she weighed my ring then punched a bunch of numbers into a calculator. $285 she announced. I was pleasantly surprised at this high number. Something made me hesitant though. I thanked her for her time and proceeded to go outside to the curb and call my wife. After my wife agreed the price of $285 was fair, I proceeded back into the store. I had to take another number as the waiting room had filled up. When my number was called, I was then on a stool across from a 20-something young man. He took my ring, weighed it and punched numbers into a calculator. $360 he announced. Oh really? So in ten minutes time my ring increased $75 in value? I promptly said ""yes"" and took the cash. That was one valuable phone call I stepped out to make to my wife! So here is the deal, what you are offered from West Seattle Coin depends on who you get to do the appraisal. My recommendation is stay away from the older woman behind the counter with the bee-hive hair style.
