Review content:
The food at The Globe is excellent, probably some of the best of downtown Athens. Burgers are great and the Wednesday meatloaf and veggies special is to die for. Unfortunately the daytime wait staff is mostly horrible. Bartenders and night time wait staff do a much better job, but if you go there for lunch, go ahead and expect to wait a long time and have your order screwed up by the waitress. I have only had three of the waitresses there during the day, no waiters, and all of them were bad. Large parties seem to get more service than one or two-person tables. Overall, it's worth it for the great food if you have the time to wait and you make your server read the order back to you before turning it in to the kitchen.
Pros: Excellent food; Meatloaf and veggie special on Wednesdays; great steaks and burgers
Cons: Terrible daytime waitresses, who seem to be in another world
