I have been visiting Roger's BBQ for years - when I can get to Florence. I am currently living in NC and when I go visit family, I always take the route via Roger's BBQ. As my son puts it, "" it is down-home country cooking met with southern hospitality, what else could you ask for?"" They have a quaint down home atmosphere, very friendly, and the buffet is always stocked. The BBQ is juicy and tender - they do specialize in the ""vinegar-based"" sauce. The squash casserole is BANGIN (in other words it is AWESOME!)!! I have to fill my plate up with this casserole every time I go!! They also have fresh green beans, black eyed peas, collards, hash, rice, etc... just right for any taste! Homemade desserts and free refills on drinks! Go, Sit, and enjoy....this is just like being at home with grandma...well almost!! Thanks for such a wonderful restaurant to come home to!
Pros: Food is excellent-all the way around!
Cons: Service is like being at home, but that is not always a bad thing!
