Businiess name:  Gordon's Overhead Doors
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
I selected Gordon's company based on my preference to support small independent companies and relied on their statements made including that they had the door I wanted in stock at their location, that Mr. Gordon would be doing the installation and that they would be doing the work at a specific time on a specific day.\r The time came and he was not there. When I called he said he was picking up the door and that it was late getting in at the freight depot... so the ""in-stock"" was a lie. Someone other than Mr Gordon showed up to do the installation- another lie. It seems Mr. Gordon did show up sometime during the installation because the check I left for him was cashed before the job was done. When I arrived home the door was installed (I had to tighten some loose bolts) but the garage door opener was not working and it was torn apart. The door opener was working fine upon their arrival... they had opened the door with the remote control I left with the check. There was no note... just a receipt. I called Mr. Gordon and was told that the opener broke down while his contractor was there and that it was just a coincidence that it went out while he was working on it. He wanted me to buy a door opener from him and have him install it. I said I expected him to fix the existing door opener and he said he would come take a look at it and that he thought he could fix it because he had been working on them since he was 16. Several calls and several no shows later I gave up and went to Home Depot and bought a new opener and installed it myself.\r \r Based on the lies and what I would consider deliberate sabotage of the opener in an attempt to sell me something more I would warn any consumer against working with this snake-in-the grass! Cons: Lies and no integrity
