I have been using a moving company services for several years now. The year of 2011 started with another move on January 22. I decided to check on Dumbo Moving and Storage for this time because of the overall positive review about it on the net.
From the very beginning Danny (the sales representative) was very nice and outstanding customer service providing me with a very catchy quote (I was saving around $175 comparing to the quotes of other moving companies in NYC). He has been following up before and after the actual move via telephone and email with me.
Thus, on Saturday morning the crew of three men showed up 15 minutes earlier than scheduled for. That was a surprise for me because usually I was receiving calls about the delays prior to the start of the job. Those guys took a good care of my furniture. Wrapped it all properly and used a clear plastic wrap for the mattress instead of the regular blankets. It took them around three hours to perform the whole job from the time showing up at my door till unwrapping the last piece of the furniture. Faster then it was estimated for. Well, no wonder, because they do not work for the hourly rate but for a guaranteed flat rate. Works out to be very efficient for both parties me and the movers.
I am very satisfied with Dumbo moving and do recommend this company for my friends and everyone. And will definitely use them again next year.
