Businiess name:  Fog City Diner
Review by:  Dom M.
Review content:
Made famous by the "they don't take American Express" commercial, this chrome and neon eatery actually serves interesting food in a cool shiny metal envelope. As soon as you walk in, you can feel the buzz - exciting people are here to fuel their extra-ordinary lives. The service is friendly and you can actually ask your server for advice and get a thoughtful answer (not something I generally expect from my native east-coasters). Despite their reputation for good fish, I had steak and fries. Happy to report, the beef was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. I washed it all down with a milk shake and then bought a Fog City Diner cap on my way out. Yeah, I'm a tourist. A lot of places like this are all about the atmosphere and leave the food on the back burner (no pun intended). The Fog City Diner breaks that mold and I recommend that you give it a shot. To walk off your meal, cross the street and find the stairway to heaven that climbs all the way up to Coit Tower. Breathtaking views (pun intended) for people with good shoes and a half-way decent cardio vascular system.
