I have had the opportunity to train at other karate schools growing up and I would definitely say that Porta’s Karate-Do Academy is more than just a karate school. It is more than just learning kicking and punching. It is the basis for a lifestyle and in the traditional martial arts for becoming the best person you can be. During my 18 years of being a student of Sensei Porta I have learned more about patience, discipline and loyalty than you can learn anywhere else.
It is a great place to learn for students of all ages. I have seen Sensei Porta guide his student’s lives from small children to responsible and confident adults and Black Belts. I am proud to be part of a Dojo that continues to have such a positive influence on all of its students. I certainly recommend Porta’s Karate-Do Academy to everyone who wishes to ensure balance to his or her lives.
