Review content:
I hired Enviroscape Tree Service owned by Arthur Morris. He gave us an estimate of $1000 to cut down 10 trees, two of which are very big. He showed up and cut down 3 pretty small trees and we paid him $540.00 on his promise he would come back May 11th to finish up the whole job. At the time he seemed like an honest guy and really played up his prior military service so I felt secure at the time I was not being taken advantage of. $540 was a lot more than the work he did; he was only here 4 hours. When I originally spoke to him, he told me the three trees he actually did cut down were going to cost $150.00. It was definitely our mistake for trusting him and paying him a large amount of $540.00 up front \r

May 11th came and went, he never showed up, no call and no show. On May 26th, I finally was able to get a response back from his wife via email after several phone calls. His wife stated the reason why he didn’t call was because his phone was broke. On March 31st, I finally spoke to Arthur and explained we wanted our $540.00 worth of work done and we had no desire for him to do any more work than that. He abruptly said no way and actually hung up on me. I called him back several times and he finally answered and was very rude. He actually told me I was breaking the contract and he wanted to come back to do all the work. I laughed and said you were supposed to come back 3 weeks ago, you never called and didn’t show up and that broke our contract. I asked him to do the right thing and either come back so I could get my monies worth or refund me $390.00, of course he refused! I’m in the process of finding a reliable and trustworthy tree company to complete 85% of the work he didn’t finish.\r

I have contacted the attorney general’s office and better business bureau and have filed a complaint with this company and will most likely take him to small claims court.\r
