Review content:
We went this evening with 5 adults and 2 children. We ordered the buffet without looking at a menu. It was expensive and the food wasn't good at all. All the server did was bring three pitchers of pop and a check. Since we were over 6 guests we were required to leave a 15% gratuity on $100.00 check. First of all, it's not a gratuity if it's required by the restaurant, they should just call it a surcharge. A gratuity is defined as: A reward, service, or payment provided freely, without obligation; We normally tip 10% for buffet service. When we disputed with the cashier, she argued. She thought that her server deserved $15 for bringing drinks to the table. Furthermore, she used the argument that the server ""has to pay taxes"" on her tips. (????) I have to pay taxes on my pay too. I'm not sure why she would even think to say something like that or why it's relevant to adding a mandatory gratuity to a check.... Then she got crabby when I disagreed with her and said ""It's says in the menu, parties over six get gratuity added"". (We were never even brought a menu by the waitress) I will never go back. $115.00 for substandard buffet food and horrible service. When we told her that we wouldn't be back she just shrugged her shoulders. Clearly, they're doing just fine without my patronage and don't mind if they upset customers. Not a problem. I'll gladly dine somewhere that appreciates my business. Cons: Lots
