When I first entered Crestanello, it was so beautifully designed and CLEAN I thought for sure that a cup of coffee would be at least $10! I was very wrong - you order at a counter and then find your own table, which I guess keeps costs down.\r
\r
The food selections all looked very fresh, my boyfriend had a shrimp salad that was a medium size for only $8.50 - it would have been a value at double the price. I had a cup of tea for $1.75 that was fresh loose tea brewed in an individual diffuser that I then poured into a beautiful glass tea cup - keep in mind that when you usually order tea, you get a random tea bag in a plain ceramic cup for the same price at other restaurants.\r
\r
The atmosphere is quiet (keep in mind that a very busy/noisy 5th ave is outside the door), serene, with very well designed interior decor and furniture.\r

This restaurant is an independant, and I LOVE the fact that an indepedant can do such a better job than a chain. This place PROVES that it is possible to have a beautiful restaurant that does\r
not charge outrageous overinflated prices for food & drink...(yes, I'm looking at you, Carnegie Deli). I will be back the next timeI'm in NYC. This is located across the street from the NY Public Library.
Pros: reasonable prices for quality food
Cons: there's not one in my town! (Cleveland, OH)
