Businiess name:  LA Paloma Burritos

Review content:
I have been getting lunch from La Paloma for years and have experienced smaller problems like a different amount showing up on my credit card and receiving the wrong order, yet I've overlooked that because the food was relatively good for Mexican in NY. However, today I really had a horrible experience with their service. I found something in my food and called to have them send me another burrito. The guy who picked up the phone took me through 60 questions about the object and kept saying he didn't see how it was possible when everyone in my office was leaning over me looking at it. I ask for a manager- he lowers his voice and with hesitation says he's it. Then he asks for my telephone number and says he has to call me back. Seriously???? I am appalled and ask why in the world does he have to call me back while in the middle of ""handling"" a customer service issue and he says something is wrong with his phone. He calls back 8 minutes later and picks up right where he left off... arguing about the impossibility of my finding something in my burrito. I ask for my money back as now with his massive attitude and belligerence I don't even want another burrito. He asks ""Why?"" Wtf???!!! So I ask for anyone over him (as I'd previously asked when he answered in a low voice he was the manager. Now all of a sudden the owner is there. I ask to speak to her; he puts me on hold and says she said I can come pick up the money if I want it. Excuse me? Any time I’ve had a problem with any eatery they have ALWAYS re-sent my lunch or money back. The audacity to as me to leave my office to come 8 blocks to pick up my money when one of their employees could bicycle over in two seconds with the change to correct a problem on THEIR behalf!! I ask to speak to the owner and he says she'll tell me the same thing he just told me. I said i still want to speak with her and he says she's outside putting quarters in her meter and that she doesn't speak much English anyway. I say I'll hold and he covers the mouthpiece and begins speaking to her in Spanish which I completely understand (she was definitely not outside refilling her meter). Finally, she comes to the phone after roughly five minutes and I speak to her (in Spanish) and she says she'll send someone to my office with the money and takes my address and phone number. That was an hour and a half ago and I’m STILL waiting. The guy's name was Gabriel (so he said) and I will avoid him & La Paloma's HORRIBLE customer service at all costs! Pros: so-so food Cons: service, overcharging my credit card
