We placed a $300 deposit for DVD headrests in the layaway with Steve the owner. He assured us there was no timeline on final payment as long as we communicated with him. We made it a point to speak with him on a monthly basis as my husband lost his job and was unable to make payments. After a series of financial setbacks, I contacted Steve to ask if we could use the $300 credit towards window tint or any service he offered for that amount. He stated that he can't help me because the layaway had been there too long and he doesn't have records. I have all the original receipts and he stated, I'm sure you do but I don't and unfortunately I can't help you because I don't allow a layaway past 30 days. I reminded him of the communications with my husband and that he always indicated there was no problem to continue the layaway payments when we are able. Now he says we've forfeited the $300 with no recourse. Very heartbreaking as we did business with a so-called Christian. Pros: None!!!!! Cons: Poor Business Ethics
