Honestly, try this place now. It's in the strip mall across Maple from the Jewel at the intersection of Maple Ave. and Rt. 53. It's a single door place that is family owned and operated. The prices are totally reasonable, there are millions of reasons to go to Johns, here are 3...\r \r 1. I consider myself a BBQ fanatic, I traveled to Kansas City just to try Arthur Bryants (great BTW), I am really a sauce guy, any stellar BBQ establishment will have great Ribs, Pork, Chicken, etc. So it all comes down to the sauce. Johns sauce is MY FAVORITE BBQ SAUCE EVER! I cannot overstate how good this sauce is, slightly smokey, slightly spicy, it's perfect, perfect BBQ sauce IN LISLE!\r \r 2. The Rib Tips! The Pulled Pork! I know that's two things but you have to try both! You get plenty of sauce, cooked to perfection! You will have dreams about them, I promise.\r \r 3. The Cheese Sauce/Dip. Get it for the fries, it's got a little chili or something in it, it's like the American Dream!\r \r I have no idea how this place is so small, it's much better than Famous Daves, etc.! I promise you that you will love this place! As far as I can tell John is the only guy that works there, he is a great guy! Go to Johns, then tell your friends, this man deserves a very successful business! Pros: The best BBQ sauce I have ever had! Cons: Little to no seating...
