Review content:
I have been going to Yanagi since they opened in 2003. Since it was my last year of college, I went there about once a week. I took all my friends there. I took out-of-town visitors. I have since moved out of state, but just recently went back with my boyfriend while we were in town for the weekend. I am seriously thinking about moving back just so I can eat there more frequently! Being Japanese and from Seattle, I have a lot of experience with sushi. Yanagi is by far the best I have ever had. My most recent visit included the most melt-in-your-mouth sashimi (and huge pieces too!). Their menu is huge and full of variety from simple to creative and elaborate- go with at least a few people so you can order lots! But on the other hand, it can be hard to get seated with a large group. And they don't accept reservations on Fri or Sat eve (but they are open until 10pm!). Also, their prices are soooo reasonable. The atmosphere is by no means romantic or intimate, but the food is worth it. This is by far my most favorite restaurant ever.
Pros: Fantastic selection of sushi and sashimi!
Cons: Can be crowded with a long wait.
