Review content:
Buyer beware. We bought our vehicle from Auto Source in April 2009. We put 11,000 down on a 16,500 vehicle and purchased an extended warranty that we really didn’t need because the factory warranty was still good. They told us they knew it had some factory warranty left and the extended warranty we purchased would pick up after the factory ran out which was not true. It was effective from date of purchase. We had paid well and had no issues for the year we paid on the vehicle until we had a issue with our bank we had to get cleared up and called their sidekick Laser Finance, Inc. and informed them we would have to get it cleared up before we could bring them a payment. We stayed in constant contact with them and there appeared to be no problems until we missed one call. We were exactly 24 days late and no more. They sent Guy Mitchell to our home after midnight with no warning and took our car. One note. The dealership, Laser Finance and the tow/repo co all have a nice little circle jerk going on. Guy actually handled some of our paperwork at Auto Source before moving over to the repo co where he appropriately belongs. The paperwork they waved at my sister-in-law (my husband and I drive over the road and were not home when this occurred) showed a bill of sale with a statement on it that said they could repo the car with no warning after being one day late. The issue here is that that statement was not checked or initialed as others were directly below that statement. We sought the advise of our lawyer. Unfortunately for us and please make yourself aware that no matter who you buy a vehicle from once they gain possession of your property you will have no recourse other than to pay them off if they demand a payoff. You could sue them, but that will not get your vehicle back and they know it. All you will get is the blue-book value of the car minus what you still owe them and minus atty’s fees. Essentially NADA. Our lawyer advised us to pay them off and get on with our lives, which is fine, but we refuse to let those behind us get duped into thinking they are dealing with honest reputable people when they certainly are not. Please be careful if you deal with Auto Source or any other buy here pay here lot. If they have a vehicle you desperately want, do not finance through their finance co. Laser Finance. They are people who don’t have a clue about what professional means. Once we paid them off, all we got was a cryptic phone number from Laser to call Guy Mitchell and told to meet him at the 7-Eleven down the road from their lot. We had to call Maitland PD to keep the peace during the transaction. Their repo lot is located directly behind Auto Source FYI. You would be better off trying to buy a vehicle from a larger dealer who doesn’t take their financial woes out on unsuspecting customers. \r \r P.S. The comment left below is a lie.. We were exactly 24 days late and we had current insurance. Nothing they wrote in this comment is true. These people are crooks and I wouldn't be surprised if everyone of these good reviews were left by them. Pros: They had the car we wanted Cons: Crooks and Thugs
