Review content:
I discovered Izumi's with my friends during their happy hour month in September. Once per season they have ""happy hour"" and they have certain half price menu items Monday - Thursday for a month.\r
\r
I then took a friend of mine there, and he really enjoyed it as well. I always have the Malibu's Fiesta, which is a California Roll with diced spicy tuna on top, and then a spicy tekka maki and possibly an appetizer. It's soo reasonable during happy hour.\r
\r
I have also had the Izumi roll and the Alaskan roll. Appetizers I have eaten include the bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp tempura, and edamame.\r
\r
Splitting their tempura ice cream finishes the meal very nicely. \r
\r
They also have a rewards program. When you spend $250 there with your frequent diner's card, you get a $25 gift card to Izumi's back. That's a pretty good deal, if you ask me, because that could feed me twice during happy hour seasons.\r
\r
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I had a server the second to the last time who was not rude or mean, but just a very poor server. It took forever for us to get our food, our bill, and for her to finish up our bill. We would see her cleaning tables in the corner while we were waiting.\r
\r
We had a really excellent server 2-3 times though. Tall, thin build, dark hair and tanned caucasian male. He was GREAT! \r
\r
By the way...the ocha is free!!!!
