Review content:
I returned to Wombat after almost of year and was absolutely floored by the drastic improvement. Anyone who hasn't gone recently SERIOUSLY has to go back. Two words: TUNA B*LLS. This mouth watering appetizer of vermicelli covered tuna was cooked to perfection. I was with a group of four people and after trying it, we ordered two more! My girlfriend ordered the chicken (or tamarind as they call it) for her entree, which is usually the last thing I'll order at a restaurant, but when it came to the table I was seriously jealous. Not to say that I didn't love the lamb shank, but it was best chicken dish I've ever had! I mean, hey...I was raised in France and we know birds, but WOW WOMBAT! Bravo!! Our server was hilarious and extremely friendly. Every table around us seemed to be having just as good a time as we were. It was a fun, upbeat environment with great music too! This place is the best addition not only to Grand Street, but the whole neighborhood as well. Can't wait to go back!
Pros: food, service, hot staff, great music
Cons: none that I can think of....
