I was recently traveling through this area., when I happened to catch a billboard along Hwy 11/15 announcing this ""Railway Eatery"". I was intrigued. Upon ""stopping by"" I was immediately taken with this ""off the beaten path"" establishment. The antique passanger traincar is wonderfully incorporated into the old Trainstop ""foundation"" creating a feel of the period. The decor and refurbished interior of the restaurant makes one feel like ""sticking around"". The decor is masterfully designed to entertain. The FOOD is above board. I highly recommend the Fresh squeezed lemonade as your first refreshment. This hand sqeezed concoction has the bitter lemon bite gently mixed with an effervescent sweet sugar sure to please! The burgers are cooked to your taste and the available selection of fare ranges from vegitarian to all out carnivore. The crackers and double cheese accoutriments are a delightfull touch as well. I also recommend the Peanut butter pie as a meal finisher, it was pure ECSTACY. \r The family whom owns and operates this lovely place has also obtained some of the best customer service experienced employees and we were welcomed with a smile so hard to find in the ""run of the mill"" restaraunts I generally frequent. I will be recommending ALL my family and friends to this wonderfull find. I also plan to make a future special weekend trip (FROM NORTH CAROLINA) specifically to stay overnight in/near this town just to simply revist and re-enjoy this experience that can NOT be duplicated. Pros: Excellent service, GREAT food at VERY reasonable price. Cons: only if you can't stand Trains passing by while you eat.
