Good afternoon, I am an employee of RJs Limousines and would like to take a moment to respond to the above post. As in any case where someone is angry, this person has left out some of the main facts of the circumstances leading up to conflict regarding the limousine service. First off, this was the day of ""hurricane Irene"". To say merely that it was ""raining"" would be an understatement. What this person neglects to state is that they were having a reception in what was described as a ""evacuation zone"". The day of the wedding, this person scheduled a pick up for a certain time. When we arrived, we were told that due to the hurricane they would be taking photos at home and as such would not be ready for another hour and a half. No one ever called the office to advise of this change. We had other obligations to customers that day who were diligent in advising us of correct pick up times and it would not be right to show up an hour and a half late to them as a result of non communication of the above person. Yes, we advised them in the beginning of the day that we would not be able to do the repick at the end of the night based upon the expected conditions and the mayor requesting that all cars stay off the road. Yes, taxi's and cars may have been able to make it safely that night. A bus, that is eleven feet tall and top heavy, may not handle the 60 to 80 mile an hour winds as well. What was the other option here? That we take a chance in a situation we are not comfortable with in light of road and weather conditions and put 30 lives at risk? Who is responsible when the bus loses control or topples from the high winds? If the person from the company who is experienced is telling you he does not believe it is safe, why would you WANT to have your family and friends in the vehicle? At the end of the day, RJs Limousines did what we thought was best for all involved and what our experience and authorities dictated was the best course of action. As in any case where someone is dissatisfied, I am sorry that you felt that our actions were insufficient to what the situation warranted. I do however, respectfully disagree that it should have been handled differently. Regarding the ""foul language"", this is just plain fiction and I am assuming a result of anger, not fact. Thank you, RJs Limousines
