Review content:
We had our son enrolled at Tender Age for over 3 years. Our daughter was there for 2 of those years. In the beginning it was great. We loved the teachers! The school was sold in Jan. of 2007 and we saw a change, it wasn't for the best. We expressed our concerns to the new owner. The preschool seemed more like a daycare and we weren't being given any of the progress reports that we had seen when our son was in the same program. We told her we wanted to know what was being done in the room for the week so we could incorporate those same themes and ideas at home. She said she would give lesson plans to the parents at the start of each week. The next week and the week after that there were lesson plans in my daughters cubby . Those were the only two weeks that we received lesson plans. Thats just one example . We finally decided it was best to pull our children from Tender Age and move them to a new preschool/after school program. We knew it would be a tough change for them since they had a lot of friends a Tender Age but it needed to be done. Here we are a few months later and I can say that we made the right decision especially in lieu of what happened AFTER we left! Our last day there was at the end of August. At the beginning of October we got a letter in the mail from Tender Age addressed to us but inside the envelope the letter is actually for another couple that had their son at Tender Age stating that they owed an obnoxious sum of money (almost$1500 I think). I called them to see if they had a letter for me and they said that in fact they received a letter for ANOTHER couple! I called Tender Age and they mailed me a new letter detailing small $6 and $8 charges randomly from January thru May and now a month after we leave I owe them $150? Why wasn't I told about these charges the week that they were charged to me? The teachers might be great but watch out for inconsistency, empty promises and and bad billing practices.
