My husband and I went there because it's close. However, I intend to look elsewhere for Thai..Every time we go, they try to shove us in the back at a very tiny table by the kitchen. They did the same when I came with a girlfriend at lunch time, this time I refused, and the guy seating us made it VERY clear he was pissed. Silverware spotty and sometimes dirty. Calamari can be melt in your mouth, or like chewing a rubberband-that's been lately. It's supposed to be spicy, but I guess they think Americans can't hang. I came from Texas-hot is a daily thing, but I don't want it like a chemical burn. The food is tasty, but not the best I've ever had.Waitesses are great. The carpet is old and greasy-dirty, the interior needs a facelift, and the black curtain going to the kitchen looks crappy. Since I get shoved back by the kitchen, I can see into it, and the kitchen doesn't look clean. Now let me warn you: ORDERING OVER THE PHONE IS A NIGHTMARE. The girl barely speaks English, she leaves you on hold, trying to get her to COMPREHEND what you're asking for gives throbbing headache, she's rude when she tells you they don't have any rice/noodles/whatever they've run out of. She'll tell you ready in 45 min, but be prepared to stand there for an additional 30 min trying to get your order. And when you DO get your food, the portions are very small, and spilled juice inside the bags. Or they give you the wrong stuff, and it's just too much hassle to go back. I've started going to their competitior across from them, Ginger House, and asking them to just make the food spicy. Ginger House makes you feel VERY welcome, it's very very clean, and when I leave, I'm smiling. Not the same with Phuket Thai, sadly. Overpriced for what you get, in my opinion.
