I am new in town and know nothing about it as I am here on a 2 year business contract. I didn't know where to go and since I travel all the time, I am used to contacting the Concierge at the hotels I stay in for recommendations, so I called the Concierge at the Hilton Universal. They highly recommended Wendy at Maxfield's in Chess & Burman. First off...this place is different! I recently moved here from Atlanta where most high end salons are in store fronts or Peachtree District Homes....this place was a private studio among several others and I loved it! MOST IMPORTANTLY I got the best haircut I have ever had! Seriously, I have paid upwards of $150 for haircuts in New York and Miami and never was as happy as I am with this short and sassy summer look for a fraction of that - I can go from messy funky to sophisticated and edgy business woman in 15 minutes. I made an appointment for color in 2 weeks and based on what I saw on other clients while I was there, I am really looking forward to it, 2 great blondes were leaving as I was coming in.....very excited for my color appointment....I'll write again after my next visit! thanx again Pros: great haircut, good price, nice stylists Cons: advance booking required
