Review content:
Over the course of 6 years I've tried out all the Indian restaurants I'm aware of within a 10 mile radius of the Montgomeryville Mall and many others further afield in Philadelphia and even California. I keep coming back to Greater India. The food is incredible and the sauces are thick and flavorful. Other places in the area will often have disappointingly watery sauces and will cut corners with the spices, but not Greater India. Take-out orders are ready in 15 to 20 minutes most nights, and there's a lunch buffet with easily twice the variety and three times the quality of other establishments that costs only $8.95 -- weekends included! Moreover the place is extremely clean and pleasant, and the bathrooms spotless. The owner is very friendly and is obsessed with maintaining a top-notch presentation. And while the menu is extensive, the buffet often has items that are not on the menu, and the selection changes every day. I've never written a review before; but then, I know of no other restaurant -- Indian or otherwise -- that I would rate as a 10. Only thing: Greater India can be a little hard to spot from Welsh Road, but it's right next door to a Hollywood Video and it can be seen from the parking lot of the Assi supermarket. They have a website which I seem to not be allowed to include the address for, but it includes a map and (I think) a menu. The full name of the restaurant is actually ""Greater India Fine Dining"", so try those as key words. Pros: Very easy parking. Small and intimate, but rarely too crowded. Cons: Can be hard to spot from Welsh road.
