Review content:
I love sushi and I love to try new places all the time. I've lived in Austin and Houston, and I've always wished that San Antonio had more sushi offerings. I went to Sushi Zushi expecting similar quality to some of the upscale places I've tried. The best thing about my trip was probably the hostess as she was the only one who paid attention to our party. After being seated, we waited 15 minutes for WATER and another 15 minutes for our waitress to finally show up. I almost got up and left because the restaurant was relatively empty. The waitress acted as if we were wasting HER time and did not even know anything about the menu. Several other waiters and waitresses passed by and noticed us just sitting there and didn't bother to ask if we'd been helped. Regardless, we ordered anyway because we felt like we owed it to the time we spent waiting. When the sushi was brought out, I was terribly disappointed. At their price point, I expected fresher fish and better quality preparation. The eel was overcooked, and the salmon sashimi tasted old. While Sushi Zushi seems like a trendy sushi spot, it definitely did NOT meet my expectations. Pros: None worthy of writing down Cons: Service, overpriced, quality
