Review content:
Pastimes is a cool antique store with lots of inexpensive, old treasures! I LOVE all the jewelry there - from $1.00 earrings to $65. Art Deco necklaces, there's TONS of choice. I also like the $3.50 - $6.50 tables and shelves full of interesting ""stuff"" - wooden boxes, china cats, eyeglasses, political buttons, Rock Lps, silverware, tablecloths, antique keys, etc. etc. I like to buy old stuff there to make collages/shadow boxes - ie. buttons, beads, postcards, photos, tintypes, dollhouse miniatures, lace, etc. The people who work and shop there are fun and also very helpful, it's great place to ask for local advice. It's worth the trip to check out the new goodies that Adam, the owner of Pastimes, has found. I know you'll have fun! : ) Pastimes is located in The Dewitt Mall, a charming large, old brick school building downtown, which is full of all locally owned businesses (Moosewood Restaurant - YUM! Cat's Pajamas - kid's store next door is also fun!) Pros: Great bargains to find, new stuff every day, fun people! Cons: parking- not so easy, I stop in the loading zone : )
