My older daughter started here in the rec classes almost 4 years ago and my younger daughter started the year after. While in the rec program, both girls were challenged appropriately and shown a tremendous amount of encouragement. My older daughter tried out for the team and made pre-team where they continued to develop her skills to prepare her for competition. She will be starting her first season in a few weeks and is extremely well prepared. The coaches are firm but compassionate and treat every child in a manner to get the most from them. All the coaches are very experienced and are concerned about safety over everything else. As a physical therapist, this is extremely important to me as I have seen what poor form can do to an athlete. My younger daughter was coach selected to go onto pre-team as a 4 year old. This summer they participated in the NC State games and my daughter, who is now 6, had a BLAST! She talked about that experience for weeks afterward. Superior is also one of the few gyms in the area that has a TOPs program. I have run out of room but look it up. It's an impressive program. We love it here!
