On the northern edge of the international district is the Hop Thanh Supermarket. Every time my housemates and I are running low of veggies, meat, and other types of food we always head this way. Fruits are a little less popular in this store, just some oranges, apples, and such. The prices they have for meat and veggies are amazing! Once we got a salmon the size of your head for about $6. There's also a very wide variety of seafood and Chinese food/snacks. Things like milk and eggs are a little more expensive than some other local grocery markets, like Safeway for example. Everything here is much cheaper than Uwajimaya though, a lot cheaper. Parking is free. However the parking lot in front of the store is very small, crowded, and very hard to get in or out of. I'm pretty sure they have a secondary parking lot about half a block to the South, heading away from Seattle. I've never used it though, maybe it's not even for their store? Anyways, I recommend that everyone checks this place out. It's a little small store, smells a little fishy at first, but the prices are all worth it! Pros: cheap meat, cheap veggies, lot's of interesting choices Cons: parking lot was not made for the driving incapable ( like me ) :P
