I had been using The Bike SHop on Truman Ave when I first got here two years ago because they were close to my house. In the last year, they have hired on a couple of new guys as bike techs. Since then, the service has gone into the toilet. One moring in particular, I had to take my bike back to the store three times within 30 minutes because they kept replacing tubes without removing a piece of glass in the tire. Of everyone that works there, Jesse is about the only one who knows what's going on. Others leave you standing around or treat you as though you are bothering them. When asked questions, most of them stare blanked faced, or talk to you like you're an idiot. More often than not, they will tell you anything, even if it's wrong or utter nonsense, just to make it look like they know what they are talking about. The last bike I pruchased from there was put together so poorly I had to take it back in to have it refit, and then they wanted to charge me for doing it. They have lost my business forever.
